We're Having TWINS!!

We had our first ultrasound on Monday, and we saw two little heartbeats!! We're in shock and can't believe it and are totally excited!! Both little embryos stuck and are growing into sweet little babies. Unreal. We're going to need a bigger car! And a ton of diapers! And two of everything! It was just a few months ago that we were thinking we'd never be pregnant.

It was so incredible. We got to the clinic and the research nurse who we've been friends with since the IVF frozen egg study asked us "So...what do you think? Is it one or two?" At that point we were honestly thinking it was just one, RCB hasn't been very sick - really tired and a little queasy, but not too bad. The nurse asked if she could come in the room while the doctor did the ultrasound and of course we said "Sure!"

So we check in and wait, then get back to the room and wait some more...the longest wait we've ever had before an ultrasound of course. The doc comes in and asks how RCB's feeling, and then gets the US probe ready. As soon as he put it in her he said, "Well there are two sacs!" We were ecstatic and hugged and kissed and cried and everything else he said was like "Blah blah blah." Except when he said, "There's baby A's heartbeat, and there's baby B's" and when he said, "Let's see if there's anyone else hiding out in here..." When we were done we checked out and sat in the car for a bit calling and texting everyone we know to tell them. Then we went to dinner to celebrate at the Chevy's restaurant where we first met.

Life is good.
